About
Built by a contractor, truck-up, not top-down
Quotrr started in a pool truck in Sacramento, not a software office. Here is the why, told straight.
The short version
Quotrr is built by Nestor Romero. Nes runs Phenomenal Pools by hand, and he is building Quotrr so the business can run without him. The plan is to start with the trades he knows, pool and landscape owner-operators in Sacramento, and earn the right to grow from there. No claims about a big team or a war chest, because that is not the truth yet.
Why we built it
The tools a contractor is sold do not respect the contractor. The field-service apps charge per seat, so adding a crew member costs you. They treat your reputation as a paid bolt-on, something you rent back from them. The lead apps are worse: they sell the same job to four pros and bill you per phone call, then keep the relationship and the reviews. You do the work, and somebody else owns the record of it.
That is the thing worth fixing. Your reputation is the most valuable asset you have, and it should not live on a platform that can hold it hostage or charge you to access it. So Quotrr is built around a simple idea: the reputation graph belongs to the contractor. The proof of your work, the Props, the Score, all of it is yours and follows you.
The reputation-graph thesis
Every signed, completed, verified job is a fact. Stack enough of those facts and you have a record that speaks for itself, a 0 to 100 Score with a formula anyone can read. You cannot delete a Prop to bury a bad job, because a reputation you can edit is not a reputation. The only Props removed are fraud or policy violations, on review. You can share Props to your Google profile so the work shows up where homeowners already look, and the record itself lives with you, not us.
How we operate
Truck-up, not top-down. The free core stays free because the point is to run the work, not to gate it. We never sell your leads, and we never will. We charge for the bigger business surfaces without a per-seat tax, so growing your crew never becomes a tax on growing your crew. When we are not sure something is right for the field, we ask people in the field.
Built in Sacramento, for the trades we know
Pool and landscape owner-operators first. Then the trades next door.
